This Posting and Topic is soemething which l have sought a good answer for some time, and indebted to my friend Sohail Khan you was given this to share.

So knowing how to network effectively is key. If you don’t already; GO TO SEMINARS! That’s where all the like minded people are and you will get great ideas just by interacting with different people.

Tony Robbins said “The only way to change your life is to get around new voices”

1) Prepare in advance – look at the speakers list and target the ones you want to speak to.

2) Dress appropriately – Wear smart casual clothing or even a suit – don’t wear a tracksuit or any blatent sportswear! Keep it cool!

3) After each speaker has spoken go to the back and speak with them – this is important as you are introducing yourself straight away. Ask them intelligent questions. Say ‘Hi my name is ___ and I currently _____ (say what you do – online or offline) I enjoyed your presentation ….then ask them an intelligent question

4) Go and talk to speakers during breaks – Here you are basically befriending them now – you’ve ideally already spoke to them after they spoke and now you’re just getting to know them more by asking them questions like how their life is, what they do in their spare time etc etc.

5) Get Photos with speakers – Really important. Why? Because if you dont, think about if you will be remembered! In the email you’ll say ‘hi my names Bob from the seminar was great talking with you’ And the speaker is thinking ‘Who The Hell Is Bob!’ However if you take a picture with them and attach it when you email them they are more likely to remember you. This is what I do with all of them like Mark Anastasi.

6) Make them laugh – laughter is the lubricant that enables people to take in information better. So be humorous! After all they are just like you! Just that they know a bit more than you!

7) Be yourself – don’t make out to be someone you’re not because honestly there’s no point.

Be confident – confidence is what makes this whole networking experience. If you don’t have the confidence to go up there and introduce yourself you are just wasting great opportunities. Summon the confidence to put these tips to use!

9) Make sure you listen closely – this is so so important. Listen closely to every word, when they are finished pause before you answer. If you are unclear about something then ask ‘how do you mean’ this then gives them the opportunity to clarify any points you misunderstood.

10) Keep In Touch after the event – You HAVE to keep in touch otherwise the work you just did to build the relationship was pointless. Its not easy to remember to keep in touch but its a good habit you need to develop. I’m still trying to get good at it, its an ongoing learning process. Typically 3 days after the seminar up to a week you want to contact the speaker with your photo and see how they are. That’s all!

Not written for some time as been self training hard for about 2 months, which climaxed with this day which l am about write about.  Yes it certainly was extraordinary day.. which started about 05.30 sorted myself out to catch the train from Ipswich to Liverpool St in London.  Being Saturday the underground was doing alot of engineering works, so careful plans done on the PC for route were now in arye.  So ended taking 5 tube trains, the best thing was the last station exited right opposite the Earls Court entrance, queuing up and was trying to spot any one l know ..no.

New Crowd

Bit scary going a large seminar room with “new crowd”  of whom just started write to on FB (Face Book), the Jo Martin’s crew are very good at what they do..so sitting down in just few minutes. The good lady appears which such gusto and passion it very hard not taken along with what she does (and does for it for 8hours)  , l can’t tell you to much about the content because of NDA signed on the day ..so would you do if you organised such powerful content.

Some great stories and fables were shared and entwined and her style is this will be told and you ask yourself  why has Jo just told us this, but it melds nicely at the end.  Just go back the my part being on your own at this event, one item which think all seminar leaders ought do is “have crew member hold a board with PARTNERS on it”  so if on your own and need to do an exercise with a partner ..you dash to them.

Great Passionate Peoples

This post is really about the peoples l met on this day, from a Educationist wants to share her passion of her knowledge,  Public speaker trainer & Marketer,  Dr of Medicine for a hand product, Afro lady who teaches/trains how to braid, extensions Afro/white hair business, Master Coach & NLP practitioner, Director of a Soul Therapy Center, Intuitive Life Coach,  a voice-radio broadcaster- station exec plus public speaker and finally a magician/voice over artist.  Such diversion persons and such passion (Tony Robbins would have loved it) is an awesome thing, if could bottle it up and sale it ..well maybe Tony Robbins does already

Strangers in The Dark

One exercise l like to share with was to wards the the end we are asked to stand, close our eyes and the lights are turned right down…Jo takes us on journey for about 15 minutes for were we want to be. It quite exercise/experience  to share with a few hundred other  like mined persons in large room with the lights down. Certainly moved me

Most Unusual Business Meeting

The seminar is over and we disperse and l am standing on the tube platform and see the guy in well dressed suit, asked if just been to Dr Jo’s and reply yes. Next l’m having  the most extraordinary conversation about his biz and he a medical doctor who’s company have developed a major product for prevention of passing viral disease via hand barrier lotion. Of corsue he aks me what my niche is so my reply is “Product Launch Facilitator & Maven”  and l’m a about develop a major launch system which would really benefit him & this take places on the tube. So another lead generated

Surreal  Haunting Sound

So l have battle across London tube and with the rush hour and arrived in Liverpool St station, tried, feet hurting and head buzzing from the high of the seminar.  Sitting down l heard the haunting sound of American Steam Train whistle, just like you see/hear in Westerns, Cowboy etc and l’m thinking l have enter the twilight zone. l just ignored it, but few miutes later it happens again and  l see swarm of a crowd carry carrying cameras and recording gear.  l followed to find on platform 8  “The Hook Continental 700013″ Steam Train in its full glory (it looks very similar to the “Flying Scotsman”)  and will post pic’s of it on line.  A real smile stopping moment.

“War Horse”  And Senior Couple

Get my train and find a seat with one of them large tables across it and l’m think l can stretch on out my legs when a “senior couple ” take the the reserved seats opposite.  Now l not one for chatting with strangers because you can start talking to some really negetive peeps. They buzzing from the sight of 70013 and had pic’s which they shared with me,  and told me they had just  watched  “War Horse” in the West End. The programme brouchers was a great piece of makeerting and how tell a story with “metal horses”  about the equines part played by horses in WW1. And they also shared how thier son has just started biz in Africa.

l not a great writer or blogger but really wanted to get this down re-read and remember ” A Extraordinary Day” thank you for the peoples mention and sights and sounds.

Product Launch Facilitor & Maven

Been while since last posted my head has been sorting techie stuff to improve my delivery. One aspect has been the video marketing world of things. Recently one of my mentors Andy Jeakins has just launched VideoBoss. Which means he left the comfort of StomperNet to go his separate way. So starting over again..

One of my goals this year to help more peoples in their internet marketing and recently linked up with old school friend from my home city of Bristol. Uk.  Now he a great national entertainer but new internet stuff, and is about launch book/dvd.

So, have been trying show him how the process starts for new entrants into digital world,  well Andy has just done an excellent email. Cause l think very clear and consie descrition l am going post the entire email here.

If I had to start over from scratch…

People have asked me this question a LOT over the years I’ve been teaching online business:

If you had to start all over from scratch, what would you do?

Well, I’ve got a really good answer now, and I actually did the whole thing in public over the course of the past several months. After I left StomperNet, I bascially WAS starting over.

And now, after a really successful and gratifying “Video Boss” launch, I think it’s safe to say that I’m “back” in the game. I’ve got paying customers, I’ve got a list, and I’m good to go!

I’m sure you want to know what I did to get from there to here and WHY I did it so I made a short list of things I knew I needed to get started with right away. I’ll share those with you now:

1. Blog – The first site I built once I was on the west coast and settled in was AndyJenkinsBlog.com. I needed a place for people who knew me to find me again. And I needed a place for people to discover me.

Having been on the web since before blogs existed, I have to say it’s my preferred “personality platform” nowadays. I can post my content, get comments, branch off into social sites like twitter, and build my list, right from the same site.

And you DON’T have to get fancy, either. Sure, I’m using a “premium” theme, but it’s hardly personalized at all. It’s about making it WORK not making it PRETTY.

2. List – As I mentioned above, if you want true leverage in an online business, you can’t depend on traffic sources you don’t control directly. They always say “the money is in the list” and dang if “they” aren’t right in this case.

The very 2nd thing I did on my blog was to add a list opt-in and start getting subscribers. I didn’t have my eventual product ideas for Video Boss finished or even fleshed out, but I knew I would need a list when I did, so I started early.

But since my product wasn’t ready, I needed something to engage my visitors and viewers with in the meantime. That’s why I needed:

3. Content – Obviously, a blog is no good without content. So I did a couple of rock-solid freebies that proved VERY popular out there on the web. I posted them to the blog, and I emailed my list to come and get it and share it.

It worked. Bigtime! I’m talking about a list of 10K subscribers built BEFORE I ever got ready to launch Video Boss, built entirely on the strength of the content on the blog.

It was important that I demonstrate 2 things to my audience: First, I know what I’m talking about. Second, establish my core values so that people know what I’m all about.

That’s because it builds up reciprocity and responsiveness, which is where the “making money” part comes in.

4. Offers – Now as I pointed out earlier, Video Boss was far from ready all these months ago. I knew I couldn’t just build up an audience based on freebies because without offers being made periodically, people would resent being marketed to later.

Of course, selling stuff and getting paid is a good reason to make offers, too.

Without anything ready in my own product line, I promoted some rock solid stuff that was in line with the values I’d already estabilished in my free content.

There are things that I know to be important in online business, and I promote products that will help my students reach those ends. I promote the BEST ones I can find.

But there’s an ulterior motive there too. The people with the best products being offered ALSO have high-quality lists filled with customers who care about quality… and are willing to pay a premium.

In other words, the folks who I was an affiliate for were all ideal affiliates for Video Boss when it was ready. So again, you can look at this as a reciprocity “pay it forward” strategy rather than a typical anonymous affiliate relationship.

I got in touch with those partners and STAYED in touch. I even helped with some of their launches, supplying some BOSS-style video. So OF COURSE those guys were going to promote.

They knew “Video Boss” was going to work because they’d worked with me, and I helped them out. They saw what I could do. So once I was ready, I knew THEY would be ready to help ME.

5. Product – If you’ve been paying attention this month, you’ve seen me launch my “Video Boss” coaching program. I’d been developing this in the background the whole time I’d been doing the other stuff.

But you’ll notice I didn’t start with the product first. I began building an audience, and a JV promotional channel, and a list building platform SIMULTANEOUSLY.

The interactions I had with partners and their launches, and with my blog and list subscribers HEAVILY influenced the development of Video Boss. So much so that if I look at it now and compare it to my first notes, you wouldn’t even recognize it.

And this is VERY IMPORTANT because I listened to my market and my affiliates and actually created my course to conform exactly to what people NEEDED, packaged in a way that gave them what they WANTED.

And that worked on the affiliate side too because the product was built to appeal to them as well. Big payouts, solid reputation for quality, happy customers, and they already knew I’d been a good affiliate for them, so they knew they weren’t just going to LOSE subscribers to me.

6. Repeat – That’s really all there is to it. I’m going to take care of this class of Video Boss members, and while I do, I’ll keep posting great content (like this) to the blog and email list.

I’ll keep engaging you in conversation, collecting comments, and thinking about what my next product will be. I’ll keep looking for tools and offers that you can use to grow your business.

I plan to keep helping you, and in exchange a lot of the people I help will support me through checking out my offers. It’s not rocket science, and I deliberately tried to keep it simple her because it IS simple.

Don’t get bogged down in the technical side of things choosing the best blog software or the best list software at first. You can always improve down the line – it’s about getting started and getting some momentum.

Once you have that, keeping that momentum going gets easier and easier. Especially if you’re treating your audience as well as you should. I’ve got a secret formula for that too!

7. Be a good guy – This one isn’t required, sadly. There are lots and lots of fortunes built on slimeball tactics and leaving others worse off than you found them.

I just can’t operate that way knowingly – there’s WAY too many bad guys out there. Be a good guy. Strive for it. Bend over backwards for your customers. Be good to your partners.

Are you going to make mistakes? YES. Work hard to make them right, because that’s what a good guy does. The harder you work to make things better for everyone around you, the more and more rewards life will send your way.

I don’t mean to get all “wishy-washy” with “The Secret” style stuff on you. But I’ve found the truest of those kinds of sayings is that in order to get what you want out of life, help others get what they want.

Steps 1 though 7 above are how I try to do that every day, and I think I’ve been pretty successful at it so far. Most of the people whose success I admire have done pretty much the same thing, though maybe with different tools.

The underlying skeleton is the same, but there’s enough room in this model for you to put yourself into it completely, and if you do, I have no doubt you’ll succeed.

“Giving Time for Money but aim for Residual Income”

Time and Financial Freedom Over the years there have been a number of different theories introduced as to how various individuals were able to utilize their time to effectively gain that level of financial freedom that they are seeking. This has caused countless numbers of individuals to spend billions of dollars every single year in search of the financial freedom that they have always been searching for. Sadly, much of this information is filled with generalities and half truths that do not help people achieve the levels of financial freedom that they are seeking. To achieve such levels requires that you use strategies that will maximize your time, so that every step you take will move you closer towards financial freedom.

Time Management

One of the most important parts for achieving any kind of success requires that you effectively manage your time. This means not only creating a schedule that can help you structure your life but eliminating those areas that waste your time such as entertainment. While there is nothing wrong with enjoying entertainment, many people make it counter productive in their lives with millions of people watching 6 hours or more watching television everyday. To effectively manage your time requires that you reduce these kinds of entertainment and use that time to help you achieve financial freedom. This does not mean eliminating all entertainment, on the contrary it means reducing the amount of time that you spend in less productive activities by just an hour or two a day. Doing this consistently will help you to use these extra two hours to have a tremendous impact on your life.

Workable Plan

Another aspect for achieving any kind of financial freedom is to create a workable plan that will take you one step at a time towards your success. This means creating small achievable goals that will guide you towards your success. As you are achieving these different goals your self confidence will increase and you will begin to see measurable improvements in your life. Once this takes place you are entering the first stages of achieving financial independence.

Clearly achieving the overall level of success that you desire requires being able to use principals that will push you towards your goals one step at a time. By effectively managing your time and having a workable plan will help you be able to achieve various successes through consistent effort. This is an important part of being able to have the financial freedom and independence that you desire.

The waves of life are hard to navigate without the right kind of knowledge and tools to keep afloat. Today’s world is filled with competition and leveed walls that make it consistantly hard to want to succeed. Succeeding….that’s the goal. Succeeding in what needs to be done, succeeding in how things needs to be accomplished can be a hurdle as tasks and goals seem hard to achieve. Issues today take time to figure out. There aren’t any easy ways out.

Taking the time to plan and steadily face day to day dilemmas can, in turn, make more time for other things if there is perseverance to get ahead. This is also the same scenario in the work place. It takes enginuity to be able to bring the working team together to tackle the work loads that bog down a company. Taking the skills that are used at home to bring together family to take care of tasks and beginning to use them in the work place is one way to get things started.

Dividing time in the work place to get everyone on the same boat with projects and clientele can lead to extra personal and office time and give a little more financial freedom for all. The importance of working together and leaving behind obstacles is a titanic gain for family life and in the labor force as well.

All too often our society seems to rush, rush, rush. This makes a mess for anything to be accomplished in an accurate manner. Mistakes are made and people begin to disagree on exactly how things should be done without the proper communication to get projects and work off the ground and finished. Success begins when there are adequate measures made to communicate, and debate on what should be done, how it should be done, and what time frame there is to get it done in. Careful planning is important so that everyone can have the same knowledge in what’s going on.

If there continues to be a trend of rushing around to get things managed quickly, mistakes can be costly. We all know that we learn from mistakes, however, there are some times in life when mistakes take a family and a company downhill all due to the fact that one or two people wanted to mixup the currents and get carried away. This can cost a family the precious time that hey want together and it can cost an association a great amount of money to fix.

Taking time is essential. Taking time provides time. Communication is entirely important.

Knowing when, where, how, why, and, what is imperative at most times. Success can be achieved when there is accuracy and good planning. These few skills can create time for family, and when less mistakes are made it can prove an advantage in financial status. Know what to do. Implement a plan. Get others on the family and work team to function together. There can’t be selfishness.

There shouldn’t be members of either side that say CAN’T. This small word will hold everything back. Take a positive approach. Motivate those around the house, around the workplace. Succeed at this and things like time and financial freedom will follow.
